SF Emergency Response Exercise
On August 26, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, at the direction of the Transportation Security Administration, is running a Full-Scale Exercise at the Salesforce Transit Center (Transbay Terminal). It's a large-scale, multi-agency drill designed to test coordinated emergency response to a complex, mass-casualty incident, and I'm helping recruit volunteers to play "victims" in the simulation.
Why this feels like an LSF thing to do:
LSF is all about developing community trustees who understand the systems that hold this city together and show up to strengthen them. Few opportunities let you contribute to public safety this directly while getting a genuine behind-the-scenes look at the city in action.
What you'd be doing:
Portraying individuals in various simulated states, running, hiding, and receiving simulated treatment from SFFD, following simple directions from exercise staff. No experience necessary, just a willingness to get into it.
